    1. A must have for combination to oily skin types.

    2. Affordable drugstore gem with medium coverage.

    3. Comes in a variety of shades to choose from!

Today we’re discussing a popular and affordable drugstore foundation that fits well for combination to oily skin types. It is a drugstore must have and we'd like to think everyone should give it a try and let us know.

Lately, Maybelline has been doing a great job with their products. I believe everyone’s makeup bag has at least one Maybelline mascara! The products perform well and are affordable. It's possible to find well performing products within their makeup range, from mascaras to concealers (shoutout to our favorite Age rewind), blushes, highlighters and shadows. An almost complete flawless makeup look with only Maybelline products can be achieved. Does anyone else agree with us?

Fit me foundations and concealers , have been a huge hit of the company. They are both non-crease, long staying products that work from day to night. If you haven’t tried them yet you should - especially if you are one with combination to oily skin. I use them both professionally and on a personal level. They feel comfortable on the skin, the coverage is medium but buildable and have a nice matte finish. I find that they photograph well too and work well with powder.

I wouldn’t recommend using them on dry to normal skin at all because I feel that they might become a bit patchy. If there is a need to use them on a non-oily skin type, try mixing them with a face cream to make the consistency a little lighter. It is a an affordable dupe for MAC studio fix fluid foundation and has been compared to other high-end ones too.

Best thing is that it comes in 40 shades to choose from, that cover from the fairest to the darkest skin tones. Even if finding an exact match seems hard, it's quite affordable to buy two and mix them together to achieve the desired shade.

Another thing that I particularly enjoy with this makeup is that is fragrance free! It also has a blurring effect over pores. For some people, it might cause breakouts but keep in mind that not all products and their ingredients are for all skin types! What works for me might not work for you. Always try before buying and if possible, take a sample first.

The packaging is a bit confusing to me; in Europe it comes in a plastic squeezable bottle like the ones in the picture above and in the US it still comes in the old glass with a pump foundation bottles so I can’t really comment on that. I think I prefer the plastic ones just because they are lighter and easier to travel with. I wouldn't have to worry about them breaking and spilling product all over my makeup bag.

What is your favorite drugstore foundation? Does this foundation FIT you after all? Leave a comment below and let us know!

    Pro Tips:

    • To diminish the appearance of pores, apply foundation with circular motions and with a fluffier brush. You can even use an eyeshadow blending brush wherever you need to.
