This is another concealer related post. Wondering why the obsession with concealers? Probably because it is the only beauty item I would take with me on a deserted island. (Maybe I would sneak in my favorite eyeliner too… Shhhhh!)
I am always on the hunt for the next best concealer, for a number of reasons. Concealer can be used not only to solely conceal dark circles, but as a foundation, a brightener, a spot concealer to brighten up the face and make it look as fresh as possible!
Some makeup up artists use only concealer instead of foundation for editorial shoots! It is all about the fresh dewy face lately and we are excited to see all the new concealer launches and improved formulas from the beauty companies!
This drugstore gem by NIP+FAB is a crease resistant, high coverage creamy concealer. It dries down to a matte finish and it is pigmented. It is enriched with extra color correction so it works great on its own to cover dark circles without using a lot of correctors below.
The color range is not that long, yet it has a good selection of medium tones and comes in six shades ranging from fair to dark. If you are too fair or too dark, move towards an alternative, like the shape tape concealer.
The important thing about this concealer is that it contains vitamin E so it does not dry out the skin although it has a thick formula. It is a concealer that does not run and it does not need setting, even with the most problematic of eyes, it does not move.
One thing you have to be careful with, is that it dries and sets fast on the skin so I would recommend to blend it quickly. It is best applied directly from the tube because it comes with a flexible tip brush and then blending it with an extra wet beauty blender. It will leave a flawless finish that will last for hours! It is great to cover any kind of blemishes on the skin too. I love it for spot concealing because it dries out matte.
One fun fact to know about me is that sometimes I use concealer to set my concealer. Yes, it sounds weird but it’s a technique that I have been developing for years and years now and I am more than excited to share it. I apply my normal concealer everywhere that I need to and then I go over the areas that are more likely to crease with a thicker consistency concealer to set. This is one of my makeup kit's secrets and it works well with most of the skin types! If you try my trick out please leave a comment below and let me know how it worked for you!
Nip+Fab has extended their concealer line with color correctors too! You can find a peach, mint green, yellow and purple one to cover all your needs and make sure to have the your best face forward. The formula is as great as the concealer line and is a must have for makeup artist for sure.
- If you use it on blemishes, do not apply it directly on the blemish with the brush as you might spread the germs. Squeeze out some product on your clean hands or surface and apply with a brush! Do not forget to clean the brush afterwards.
