The word is out: facial hair is in. Of course, that applies only to men. However, women have learned to love and appreciate the look even if it's a stubble. We salute the clean cut shaved looked and embrace the full on Jake Gyllenhaal beard. Now, in order to live with the beard and love it in the process, it's essential to take proper care of it. How can that be achieved? By trimming, conditioning and grooming. If you're a man reading this now, you'll love this oil simply for the lightweight texture it'll have on your fingers and how comfortable it'll sit on your face. If you're a girl, trying to find the perfect gift, you'll love this due to its ingredients, results, brand name, price and all the other details we like paying attention to.

The product itself is a beard conditioning oil that helps maintain a healthy beard and conditions the hair of it. This oil will work best for those with a full, thick beard rather than a stubble. When growing a beard, a sense of an endless itch takes place on the face. At the root of every beard follicle, there is a pair of glands, AKA sebaceous glands. The glands are there to make sure the beard stays nourished by creating the sebum oil. As the beard grows, more sebum oil is required to cover the area. No matter the length of the beard, these glands will stay the same size, making it impossible to properly nourish the beard while it grows. This is why external help is necessary.

This oil is enriched with ingredients ready to nourish, moisturize and strengthen the facial hair. While all the oils and vitamins are working hard on the hair, it is important to appreciate the smell as well. Gentlemen, this will be on your face, close to your mouth and nose. Of course you want it to smell nice. There is a subtle, refreshing scent left on the face that even as you go through your day, a hint of it is still there.

Growing a beard is a commitment. Even if you don't consider yourself high-maintenance, the scruffy look needs work to stay in tact. Even if this is the only product you end up applying on the beard, it'll still work wonders for you. Your grooming kit can consist of this and a small comb to work through the knots. When you're combing through those knots, perhaps there will be a new-found appreciation as to why we take so long in the shower and more specifically, for those of us with long, thick hair.

We need more suggestions of good beard oils. A variety is always good to have. What should we add next to the list? Sound off in the comments below.

  • With a small comb, this oil helps the stray hair stay in place
  • Frequent trimming of the beard, along with the oil, prevents split ends
